Journey Student Ministries (JSM) is a welcoming space for students in grades 6–12, no matter where they are on their faith journey. We believe worship should be fun, engaging, and meaningful, and that every student matters. Each week, students gather to build friendships, grow in faith, and discover how God is at work in their lives – right now.
JSM meets for Bible Study on Sunday evenings from 5:00 – 7:00 PM CST at Whole World of Good in LaPorte, meeting upstairs upon arrival. Our summer and winter schedules may vary, so we encourage checking the calendar for current dates.
We also gather during the week for Youth Group at Journey Church in the Navigate Room from 5:00 – 7:00 PM CST. Group nights include a short lesson, a snack, and time to connect and have fun together.
Students are encouraged to bring a Bible, a notebook, and something to write with. Bringing a friend is always welcome.

Worship can be a transformative experience, no matter your age. At Journey Church we believe that people of all ages are part of our worshipping community and we put a priority in developing a culture of worship amongst our youth.
Engaging students in worship through Navigate Youth Band, provides opportunities for spiritual growth, musical development, and leadership development! Navigate Youth Band not only leads worship for Navigate Youth, but can also be found serving our entire congregation by leading worship during some of our Sunday services and worship nights.
Navigate Youth Band is open to any student interested in learning more about worship. Whether you come with musical gifts you’d like to explore, or you are eager to learn more about a particular instrument or vocals, you are invited and welcome!
