Watchmen is a brotherhood of men committed to hearing the Word of God and responding in obedience. Rooted in Ezekiel 33:7, we believe we are called to live out God’s truth and speak it faithfully when He leads – growing deeper in our walk with God, leading our families with humility and courage, and serving our communities with Christlike love while standing accountable before God and one another.

Join us for a meaningful time of learning and reflection as we explore what it looks like to care for children from hard places. Together, we’ll consider how understanding our own stories can help us grow in compassion for others.
This event is open to everyone – parents, caregivers, and anyone who desires to love like Jesus and help create a culture of empathy and compassion within Journey Church. You’ll learn how trauma impacts the brain and how to respond in ways that reflect compassion, love, and grace.
Danielle Bilderback, a foster care advocate with Josiah White and a foster and adoptive mom, will be sharing from her experience and insight.
Refreshments will be provided, and childcare (birth – 5th grade) will be available with a movie in the chapel for children. RSVP below so we know how many kiddos to expect!

On Sunday, June 7 during our 10:30 AM CST service, we’ll be honoring all graduating students (both high school and college) as a church family. A special slideshow will be shared, and our high school graduates will receive a gift from Journey.
If you have a graduate, please fill out the form by May 31 and submit two photos (one baby/young child and one current) to Pastor Kyle Chezem at kyle@journeychurchlaporte.com or by giving them to him directly.
Help us feed 150 families in our community this summer! On June 12, 2026 beginning at 4:00 PM (CST), we’ll be assembling and distributing grocery bags to families in need throughout our area. You can participate by donating non-perishable food items, giving financially, or volunteering to help assemble and distribute bags – a great serving opportunity for families and small groups together.
Non-perishable donation bags may be picked up from Jen and Chuck Morris in the fellowship hall after services beginning May 10 and returned by June 7. Monetary donations may also be made through online giving by selecting “Grocery Donation”. Approximately $20 sponsors a non-perishable bag and $32 provides a complete grocery bag.

Our ROOTED groups are getting ready to start!
ROOTED is a 10 week experience that provides the opportunity to connect with God and the Journey community. Whether you’ve been a Christian for a long time or new to faith in Christ, ROOTED has the potential to have a bigger impact on your spiritual growth than anything else you do this year.
Runs March 1 – May 20, 2026.
Groups meet in person and will be led by a trained facilitator who will come alongside you throughout the 10 weeks. We will have groups meeting on different nights so please select your preference.
ROOTED is open to those 18+ whom have passed their high school graduation date.

Every Journey begins with a first step!
This one hour class will allow you to meet the pastors and to hear about the vision and mission of Journey Church while we get to know you better, too.
We will meet in the Fellowship Hall after the 10:30am service.
